How to Listen & Subscribe to Podcasts on iOS Devices

There are many apps that will let you listen to podcasts on iPhones or iPads, but perhaps the easiest one to get started with is the one that is already on your device, the free Apple Podcasts app. Here's what you need to know.

1. Find the purple Podcasts app on your phone or tablet and tap the icon to open it.
2. Tap the Search icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the app
3. In the search bar that appears at the top of your screen type, The Edtech Take Out
4. Below Podcast Episodes you will see a section called Podcasts. Tap the icon with the logo for The Edtech Take Out
5. In the pop-up window that appears, tap Subscribe.

That's all there is to it! Once you are subscribed, the Podcasts app will automatically download the latest episode, and any future episodes as soon as they are released. You may even receive a handy notification when new episodes are available.

To listen to previous episodes, search for the Edtech Take Out and tap the cloud next to any of the other episodes that you would like to listen to.

If you have any questions about how to subscribe to the Edtech Take Out Podcast, please email Jonathan Wylie - jwylie@gwaea.org - for more help and information.

Other podcast apps are available in the App Store. Alternative podcast players include:
  • Overcast
  • PocketCasts
  • PodCruncher
  • Downcast
  • SkipCast
