What is Blended Learning?
  • Blended learning is a blend of instruction, technology and data to build a student centered learning experiences that leads to personalization.  
    • ​face to face teaching, integrated with an online learning component - in grouping based on data
    • schools have done a lot of work with
      • Standards inpriority standards and proficiency scale in place in many districts.  
      • Blended learning is a way to pull those two initiatives together.
      • 1:1 with devices.  ​
  • That could be a tech rich environment -​include opportunities for Student control of path, place, pace, choice, voice,
  • Ultimate goal is to personalize learning for students - students are an active part in the goal setting, and learning process so their learning becomes more personalized.

What It Looks Like...
  • In a typical rotation you might have 4 stations
    • mini-lesson with the teacher with a small group
    • students working on independent practice
    • digital content
    • students are focusing on one of the 4 c’s collaboration, creativity, cooperation, communication with other student
  • Timer
  • A playlist where students choose which activity they complete
  • Flexible groups based on students’ skill and standard needs
  • Weave student choice and voice into your class​
